The Memories of the Black Immigrant Community of Brantford project takes place on October 18 and 19 with an exhibit, play, music, food and panel discussion.

This exhibition includes historical language, images, and attitudes that are racist and may be distressing to some visitors. These materials are presented in their original context to document and confront the realities of anti-Black racism and discrimination in history. The intent is not to repeat harm, but to acknowledge it, encourage reflection, and honour the strength and resilience of those whose lives and legacies are represented here.
